DVD Review: ROAD RACING REVIEW: The Official Highlights of Five Great Road Races
This two disc DVD from Duke Video is one of the most exciting season
race reviews I’ve seen. This one really puts the “road” back
into racing. You can enjoy truly European road-racing for 4 hours while this
DVD covers wheel to wheel competition from historic venues like Cookstown, Mid-Antrim,
Southern 100, the Ulster GP and the Manx GP.
Great video footage with lots of camera angles and plenty of on-board video
coverage give you the best seat in the house while you watch motorcycles race
along these truly classic roadways with hedgerows, stone walls, buildings and
spectators lining the “race” track. Riders scream along these old
roads, skimming the edges of disaster, testing the limits of their suspensions
as they literally bounce from crest to crest, sometimes sideways on landing.
A far cry from our own homogenized racing this side of the pond, these DVD’s
show you in great detail what European road racing really is all about. Filled
with white-knuckle action, great camera angles, wonderful post-race interviews,
